Long options are not recognised

Following the documentation, and trying to use long options, I get the message

activate-linux: invalid option -- '-'

This happens not only with --daemonize, but also with --config-file for example.

Installed version: from ppa on Ubuntu 22.04.3.

I just looked into it, the PPA hasn't been updated since 2022 and only handles single letter switches

Oh, now understandable. So I was using outdated version.

I then suggest to either:

• mention in readme that ppa is outdated
• update ppa
• remove mentioning of ppa from readme
