I was checking the source code for models, but i only found the base plates and components. I thus assume they get "assembled" when minecraft loads up. Would there be a way or method to extrapolate these models under JSON or OBJ format? i wanted to use them as an inspiration for a potential addon i was making, but i thought it'd be also cool to 3d print them out.

Hey. Yea we do dynamic model creation at runtime for both gates and wires. If you want to mess with the code, they are at some point usually merged into a single CCModel (a model class from CodeChickenLib), and that class can be exported into obj. However, you'd have to do your own texture mapping, since it's not like a single texture directly maps to a single model.
