Game wont full screen on regular linux mint. #5711

Description of bug
Every time I play I want to fullscreen/F11 my game and when I try it just flashes the fullscreening animation and nothing happens besides that. One time I kept doing it and it fullscreened but I was spamming F11 so it un-fullscreened right after it worked. Please someone try to fix this it its a fixable thing or help me. Thank you.

Basic version of linux mint.
