"Minecraft Java profile acquisition failed."

Description of bug

Everytime I attempt to add my Minecraft Account to multiMC, It gives this error, "Minecraft Java profile acquisition failed." I attempted with both trying to login from this computer, inserting the code from my phone. Nothing works and it continues to give this error.

Steps to reproduce

• Press Manage accounts, add new accounts, then click the click with the code, and attempt to sign it.

Having a similar issue. MultiMC logged me out and I get an error stating it Failed to get Minecraft access token: Error transferring (launcher api) - server replied: Too Many Requests. I rebooted my router last night which allowed me to log in and play, but it's failing again this morning, either giving me the same token transfer error or that the profile acquisition failed. My last attempt was successful at adding my account, but now it says I don't own Minecraft, which is BS because I 100% do and can even log in/play through the official Minecraft Launcher.

Same issue here, using same account as one linked to the microsoft store where it confirms that i DO own minecraft, tried a bunch of fixes and nothing helps. really hoping it fixes itself with time but if not I dont know what else to do than buy a new account.

played friday until 2am and now this shit for the last two days. i already confirmed my minecraft.net account works too and my version is on there as well. just dumb as fuck.

I am encountering similar issues as well, with two different accounts on two different computers. Sometimes password authentication won't work but then having Microsoft email me a code works. Most recently the code from Microsoft didn't work the first time, multiple times the code didn't arrive from Microsoft, and then trying password authentication worked.

Same here, I've gotten 2 different failures, one being the "Failed to get Minecraft access token: Error transferring https://api.minecraftservices.com/launcher/login - server replied: Too Many Requests", and the other stating that I don't own Minecraft despite the fact that I DO own it, Not sure what's going on but I hope someone's working on this issue

I tried to get login again, and I got a message saying I haven't bought minecraft (but obviously I had bought it). Then I refreshed, this time I logged in, but when I tried to applied my skin, I got an error window which said:

I have the same issues. Unsure if it makes a difference, but my login process also goes through Xbox Live (which I am also logged into). Tried all different methods of logging into Microsoft account and got issues mentioned above (acquisition failed, too many requests, account doesn't have minecraft, etc.)

Happening for me as well, on and off the past few days. On launch of an instance it looks like it infinitely retires an authentication refresh before minecraftservices API blocks the request with 429 "Too many requests" on /launcher/login

Having same issue here for about 2 days. It could be due to mc auth servers but even when it is not down, I am unable to log in. The only solution I have found was spamming until it logged me in but this only worked for me once. Additionally, when I am able to log in, my account expires in a couple hours. If anyone has a good solution, please let me know. I have tried all the solutions above.

The only correlation I found was that everytime mc auth servers go down, my mc account becomes expired.
