Thank you for your well crafted documentation which is very helpful to get a grasp of your feature rich App.

Here are some proposals, as a non technical user, I am struggling a bit with those elements
1. Some items might need a screenshot for illustration
2. Some special features might need to be documented

Current documentation if it present

3.3 Backup/Restore
Especially the Restore part, which is almost a one-liner.

And I couldn't find clear indications on how to batch install Apps either from .apk files or from a store (F-Droid, Obtainium, Aurora Store)

Would you agree to provide some screenshots (I can help and share some in English and French language settings)

• Special backups: SMS, Call Logs tracked in [Backup] Add special backups #973 : Might be helpfull to know the type of backup:
  (full backup ?, full scheduled backup ?, incremental backup ?, incremental restore ?, full restore ?)

Again let me know if you might be interested in a "newbie's" perspective to help make your app accessible for that type of users

You can batch install APK files from you file manager using the Send or Share button like you do for any other batch actions you do in a file manager. Therefore, no explicit documentation was necessary from App Manager's side. For a third-party store, you need to ask the third-party store since I do not control those apps. Aurora Store, in particular, I think, has already documented how to install an app via App Manager.

A general description of batch operations are already available in the docs: https://muntashirakon.github.io/AppManager/en/#subsec:batch-operations. But yes, I agree that the description should be more specific.

You need to be more specific about what you want it to contain. In my opinion, the description is complete if you read it sequentially (backup flags -> backup -> restore).

The docs is not a tutorial, it's a user manual. Therefore, we only focus on documenting features and specifications rather than writing a tutorial (with one exception, that is, ADB connection). The features offered by App Manager creates endless possibilities, and it's not even possible to document everything. The idea is to discover its uses as your understanding of the app improves.

Fair enough: it's the philosophy you envision for your documentation and users should follow it.

I am having a hard time getting the grasp of it though and might not be the only one in this position.

Maybe would you consider while I discover some of your many apps uses providing some step-by-step to be then submitted for review ? If so , in what form would you like those contributions ? Some tutorials or step-by-step might be helpful even outside your documentation for non technical users like me.

When you "land" a startup of the App, there is a list of Apps. You click on one and then a bottom menu appears.
And then what is to be expected ?... I've taken the time to read the user manual. But it appears to me focused more on App layout and features, which are numerous, but less focused on "What could you do with this App"

To contributors: Thank you for your time. I seam much less technical than you folks, and I sense I don't grasp the main features of the app which seems very rich and How I can relate them to my use case. See please my related issue "Help Needed" #1550 which has been closed.

@MuntashirAkon pointed me to submit to https://github.com/AMCommunity to ask for help. But forking etc... is way beyond my current knowledge...

For now all I try to achieve is to Use App Manager to backup Applications and all it's user data, settings and "state" on a non rooted device without a Google account (with ADB linked to a Linux PC if needed) and restore all that "1 click" on another non rooted device. But I can't figure it out.

Your help would be very much appreciated and I believe it might also help a lot of people like me out there who get their mobile stolen, broken, or in need of a transfer to a new device.

Again, you lack objectivity. Suppose you open a messaging app and select a bunch of messages, what is it that you expect? Probably you have never used a messaging app before. So, what do you do? You see what features are available. It may offer options like archive, delete, pin, and so on. Do you need a documentation to assist you on what to do after you select multiple items in the messaging app? No. But you may need to know what some of these option (say, pin or archive) do.

Still, if you read the "Batch Operation" subsection under the Main page section in App Manager docs, you can find the following:

Batch operations or operations on multiple applications are also available within this page. Multiple selection mode can be activated by clicking on the app icon of an item or by long-clicking on any items in the list. Once activated, a click on an item selects it instead of opening the App Details page. In this mode, the batch operations are located in the multiple selection menu at the bottom of the page.

As you can see, we still included how a multiple selection can be activated in App Manager although most messaging app will never document that.

I don't grasp the main features of the app

The main feature of App Manager is the name itself: app manager. The main-ness of a feature depends on a particular users. For some users, installer is the main feature while for others backup/restore is the main feature. Some people use exclusively use scanner while a number of users think debloating is the main feature.
