MPD output goes to HDMI. How to send it to audio jack.

Hello, I have a little NUC style computer attached to my TV by HDMI and to my stereo by the 2.5mm audio jack.

I can run MPD and control it from Cantata but the audio goes out the HDMI interface. I want it to go to my stereo via the audio jack.

Can anyone suggest how to make this adjustment?

Check aplay -l and aplay -L to find out which ALSA device goes to the analog output.

OK, thanks for the advice. I see now how aplay -L gives the exact string I need on the device line. I get sound from the audio port. ;-)

restart mpd, and it works! Oh, and turn on the amplifier. :)
