Issue while compiling with LTO enabled

To Reproduce

Compile mimic 1.3.0.1 or mimic from git as of d561f87 with CFLAGS=-flto -Werror=odr -Werror=lto-type-mismatch -Werror=strict-aliasing

Expected behavior
mimic compiles with LTO enabled, without lto-type-mismatchs.

Thanks for the detailed bugreport, I was able to reproduce it and will see if I can fix it. Please also note that the new mimic3 is probably a better choice for most use cases.
