+In this webinar, you will learn more about validating AI systems. Which tools can you use to detect bias in an algorithm or AI system when protected characteristics are not available? And what is the purpose and necessity of synthetic data generation? Additionally, the webinar will address developing software without relying on cloud providers or commercial parties. During the webinar, two open-source tools will be introduced (an unsupervised bias detection tool and a synthetic data generation tool) that have been developed as part of the Innovation Budget 2024-25 by the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, the Education Executive Agency, and the Algorithm Audit foundation. The last 20 minutes will be reserved for questions.

+In deze webinar leer je meer over het valideren van AI-systemen. Welke tools kun je gebruiken om bias in een algoritme of AI-systeem te detecteren als beschermde kenmerken niet beschikbaar zijn? En wat is het nut en de noodzaak van synthetische data generatie? Ook wordt stilgestaan bij het ontwikkelen van software zonder daarbij afhankelijk te worden van cloudproviders of commerciële partijen. Tijdens de webinar worden twee open-source tools geïntroduceerd (unsupervised bias detectie tool en synthetische data generatie tool) die in het kader van het Innovatiebudget 2024-25 door het Ministerie van Binnenlandse Zaken en Koninkrijksrelaties, de Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs en stichting Algorithm Audit zijn ontwikkeld. Tijdens de laatste 20 minuten is er ruimte voor vragen.
