+Legal scholar Ola al Khatib and colleagues analyzed rule-based and data-driven (selection) algorithms within the context of Dutch Public Administration Law. As debates intensify regarding whether and how this law should be revised to effectively regulate algorithmic systems employed by Dutch public sector organisations , the article offers suggestions for enhancing the layered approach to govern algorithms, in interaction with  the AI Act and soft law frameworks.

+Jurist Ola al Khatib en collega's analyseren regel- en data-gedreven (selectie)algoritmes in de context van de Algemene wet bestuursrecht (Awb). Voortbouwend op de huidige discussie rond aanpassingen van de Awb met oog op het effectief reguleren van algoritmische systemen die door Nederlandse overheidsorganisaties worden ingezet, gaat het artikel in op mogelijke oplossingsrichtingen hoe de gelaagde reguleringsaanpak, in combinatie met de AI-verordening en _soft law_ kaders, verbeterd kan worden.
