using yap via ssh

i see that here https://github.com/amit-shkolnik/YAP-Wrapper there is step #3: Run the Python code in yap_api.py file ==> main method. The python code is calling YAP server via HTTP request...but i am not sure where the file yap_api.py is located.
also, when i command ./yap api i get an offer to open port 8000 in the browser. but it displays 404 not found. i wonder is this is because i am using the ssh remote connection.
