Description
Are we planning to fully support the Windows platform? By that I mean native Windows and the MS Visual Studio C/C++ compiler toolchain, not MSYS2-based builds.
A little context...I have spent a good amount of time today trying to get successful windows build for NCEPLIBS-g2c for the g2clib conda forge feedstock. I had some success introducing some patches, but ultimately there is too much added code in v2.0.0+ that breaks on non-POSIX platforms. So we have decided to stop building for Windows for v2.0 and v2.1.
Which brings up the original question...about if we want to truly support Windows? I have several patches that can be turned into commits for better supporting Windows in a future release.
