Number of individual waves

Good day, dear forum members,

I have a somewhat unusual question. A requirement came from the client in the technical specification: to provide the number of individual waves by direction and wave height ranges.

My question is: is it possible to obtain this from model output?

I understand the question might sound a bit odd 😊 I just want to figure out whether something like this is technically feasible at all.

Wave partitions would provide different systems (one windwave and multiple swells), their height, period and direction. You can either obtain them from field or point outputs. WW3 has the watershed algorithm for it. See the manual for more info
