Best way to capture sampling/collection metadata?

There are several columns for general sampling/collection notes, and it's unclear what should go where: notes_sampling, collection_method, samp_collect_device, samp_mat_process. There are many other columns with controlled vocabulary on individual aspects (which I think we should keep).

Are there too many terms that should be consolidated, or do we just need to provide better notes and examples as guidance?
