I wonder whether there's any update on this? It seems like the main branch already has #1914, but the HF conversion still has bugs. Specifically, I think some internal implementation is not consistent, and running forward passes on the Megatron-LM checkpoint and running the HF converted checkpoint will result in very different results.

could you please open a new issue for this? it would be great if you can include reproduction script and full logs. This will help us track down the inconcistency.
