Expose vGPU with custom names

On my cluster, we use vGPUs and only care about the amount of VRAM when assigning devices
To have a better UX, I would like to expose different vGPUs with the same custom names, eg instead of:

# node #1
status:
  allocatable:
    nvidia.com/L40S-16Q: "8"
    nvidia.com/V100-16Q: "8"
---
# node #2
status:
  allocatable:
    nvidia.com/T4-16Q: "2"
    nvidia.com/A2-16Q: "8"

I would like to be able to see:

# node #1
status:
  allocatable:
    nvidia.com/16GB: "16"
---
# node #2
status:
  allocatable:
    nvidia.com/16GB: "10"

I thought this was possible by renaming devices using k8s-device-plugin but can't find any documentation on how to do this :/
