Listing below the remaining features I'd like to see on the tool, some for the demo session with Zoning, some for Comms approval, and some just for launch.

Columns/features

• Query by use / Zoning Resolution: could be useful to include Use Group like the NAICS-based search does, otherwise I like the ordering and simplicity here

• For all: NAICS Title column name should be NAICS Index Name

• Query by use / NAICS Index: remove Permitted reason once we've presented to EDR / Zoning for demos

• Query by zoning district: could remove Permitted value and Permitted reason

• View all uses and indexes: remove False values from Special Permit, Size Restrictions, etc.; remove Permitted Value (symbols); remove all NAICS columns except NAICS Index Name and NAICS Code; move Is Allowed and Is Allowed flag to the left in column ordering

Language

• Need to include a blurb about how ground floor commercial uses are regulated by the C district you see on a lot, while the R district you see governs the uses allowed in the rest of the building and surrounding space - consult Zoning/EDR about this

Formatting

• Remove "This is an experimental application" watermark when approved

• Maybe make Use Query Tool heading bolder / change font color to orange?

• Add hyperlink to this URL: "https://zr.planning.nyc.gov/article-i/chapter-2#12-10" for all uses that contain "#", which represents a ZR-defined term

Features to add/edit

• Sort dropdown of NAICS-based uses alphabetically
• Add ZR links to all rows (Yes and No’s) – just link to the appropriate Use Chart (e.g., https://zr.planning.nyc.gov/article-iii/chapter-2#32-181 – “general use allowances” section for each UG-district type combo)
• Add links to ZR Glossary for each ZR-defined use term (e.g., #Heavy motor vehicle repair and maintenance shops# à glossary)
• Column name / order cleanup
  • For “View all uses and indexes” – remove False values from Special Permit, Size Restrictions, etc.; remove Permitted Value (symbols); remove all NAICS columns except NAICS Index Name and NAICS Code; move Is Allowed and Is Allowed flag to the left in column ordering
  • Query by use / NAICS Index: remove Permitted reason once we've presented to EDR / Zoning for demos
  • Use Query by Use (NAICS Index) Output Template.xlsx

I wonder if we really want to remove the Permitted Value symbols from the Zoning Resolution Uses table in the View all uses and indexes. it might be a nice way to stay transparent about how the tool data/results align with the ZR and give experts (DCP Zoning team especially) even more confidence in it

could also move the column more to the right for public user usability or consider an "expert mode" switch to enable this and other details we want to hide by default

for any tables listing ZR uses, I wonder if sorting by Use Group, Subcategory, Zoning Resolution Use Name, NAICS Index Use Name would be nice for readability, specifically the sorting by Subcategory part. they're currently sorted by Use Group, Zoning Resolution Name, NAICS Index Use Name

I was just scrolling through the "Query by zoning district, R3" results and wanted to focus on Use Group III. but the randomness of Subcategory values surprised me and I think would've helped me read the results
