After on long period of test, 3.3.0 is finally available in stable !

This version contains a huge cleanup of the native code executing the detection. This beta test cycle have allowed me to develop more tools to control the quality of the detection algorithm, allowing to tweak and adjust the pre processing code without any fear of quality downgrade. With this cleanup, the native detection is now more flexible and can easily get more new features.

New feature: Adjust condition threshold while testing (#548)

When testing a condition, it can be annoying to always have to go back to the condition dialog to change the theshold. With this, the user will spend less time travaling between dialogs.

New feature: Filters on the scenario list (#529)

When you are using Klick'r to automize a lot of things, the home screen of the app can quickly becomme crowded, and a simple search was'nt enough. Now, there is a filter header allowing to order/filter the scenario list in different ways.

You can disable this header in the application settings.

Other features

• Rework detection quality configuration display
• Allow to reorder image conditions (ability to re-order conditions  #565)
• You can now use other counter values in counter operations (Enable the value of a counter to be compared with that of another counter #576)
• Support Android 15 Edge to Edge display
• Workaround implementation for Google Pixels on Android 15 (see [Android 15] [Pixels devices] Klick'r stops executing gestures randomly #599): A workaround to fix the click blocking issue is to click with three fingers on the screen. As it is impossible for Klick'r to detect when this bug occurs, a triple click will be injected on the top left of the screen every 10s. You can control this workaround in the settings. This is available only if you can be impacted by the bug, for all other users, this changes nothing.

Bugfix and improvements

• Cleanup native code and reduce memory footprint (~12%) and improve stability.
• Use TYPE_ACCESSIBILITY as overlay window type to avoid getting flagged as untrusted touch event source
• Fix background color issues in some dialogs
• Fix possible memory leak on some devices
• Improve memory footprint
• Improve detection speed by 7.8% in average use cases

Developper note

A huge thank you to all beta testeurs that helped to track the numerous issues during this development, i know this can be painfull but this is really a huge help for open source software.

For the 3.4.0 version, i'm currently working on OCR (text detection). I have been quite busy with my private life lately, but now everything is settled and I should be able to work on it. I'll try to keep you updated if I have something running with accpetable performances.

Finally, even if you are using the F-Droid or Github version, don't forget to rate the app on the Google PlayStore, this really helps :)

I loved seeing the UI updated but as soon as I run my scenario's it crashes every time 😭

I tried toggling a few of the new settings on and off but nothing seemed to help, let me know if you need any more information and thanks for dedication to the project 🫡

Hi and thank you for your feedback. Can you provide the zip file of your problematic scenario ? You can generate it with the export button, on the top right of the scenario list.

@Nain57 After some time I've found the Pixel issue fix a bit finicky to get the triple press to work. At first I thought I was just pressing too quickly but that doesn't seem to be quite it. I'm having to try a few times and even then struggling sometimes. Is there some nuance I might be missing?

Edit:
It occurred to me I might be tapping the 3 fingers not quite all at once. Is there a way you could adjust the tolerance for this or is this a device setting I haven't found?

The issue is on the software of the Pixel for Android 15. Google have acknowledged it but it wont be fixed before Android 16.
The workaround is indeed to execute a triple press, but it is not always working. The workaround proposed by Klick'r is to execute it a fake triple touch every 10s (you have to manually enable that in the app settings), but even this is not always working.
