Description
Describe the feature
Request:
Move the light/dark mode toggle button from the footer to the navigation bar at the top of the page.
Why this matters:
- Discoverability: Nearly all modern websites (GitHub, Twitter, etc.) place theme switchers in the header/nav bar because that's where users instinctively look for UI controls.
- User convenience: Dark mode users shouldn't have to scroll to the bottom of every page to switch themes.
- Industry standards: Footer placement is typically reserved for secondary links (ToS, copyright), not interactive elements.
Implementation notes:
- Ideal position: Top-right corner of the nav bar, near user profile/icons
- Should remain visible on both desktop and mobile (consider adding to mobile menu if space is limited)
- Keep the same intuitive icons (sun/moon or toggle style)
Bonus benefits:
- May increase theme switching usage (easier access = more engagement)
- Creates visual consistency with other major platforms
