The traffic logging option is currently available in multiple firewall sections:
- firewall rules
- port forward rules
- firewall zones
However, its visualization and behavior are not uniform. In some cases it relies on a dedicated column in the table, in others it is represented by an icon shared with other options, or it is not visually indicated at all.
Why this is needed
Having a dedicated column for traffic logging reduces table readability and consistency across different firewall views. In real-world scenarios, only a small subset of rules typically has traffic logging enabled. As a result, the current approach wastes space and makes it harder to immediately spot which rules are logged.
Purpose
The goal is to improve usability, visual consistency, and quick identification of logged rules across all firewall-related objects.
Proposed solution
Replace the dedicated logging column with a specific icon displayed directly in the rule row when traffic logging is enabled.
The icon should be consistent across:
- Firewall rules
- Port forward rules
- Firewall zones
This approach increases visibility of logged rules while keeping the tables more compact and uniform.
