Describe the bug
NMM take more than 30 mins when installing / unistalling mods with dependencies on Skyrim SE !!!

Environment

• NMM version: _0.88.2 (BUT HAPPENED SINCE... EVER!)
• Mod(s) used: _1000+

To Reproduce
Have a large modlist and install one mod with dependencies, then uninstall the same mod! Good luck waiting more than 30 mins with NMM "not responding" ...

Additional information
This bug is still present and will make me change NMM for good if isn't addressed. From my analysis this is due to mods that have dependencies, when installing or uninstalling it takes sometimes more than 30 mins, because of the autosort thing!! Mods without any dependency install/uninstall "normally" !!!!! Please make a option to disable autosort for good! People use loot anyway! Skyrim SE! This bug exhists since 2019! Cmon! It's becoming completely impossible to use NMM due to this thing!

If you are interested I've managed a workaround for the install process that should give you light to the problem. The unistall process was pending for more than a hour. This mod has 3 esp and very few files (40 or so). All the esps have dependencies on another mods esps. If I just click uninstall this takes AGES!!! What have I done, tried unistall again. Same thing, more than 30 mins and I terminated. Tried again , Same thing just, waited 10 mins this time. So what have I done ?

1 - Only mark esps as disabled in NMM or in another utility (wryebash for example).
2 - Make custom rule in loot to load the 3 esp at last.
3 - Sorted order on loot. All 3 esps went to down and applied.
4 - Went Back to NMM that automatically adjust order from LOOT (this works well and it's very fast)
5- Uninstall mod - Bam!! Uninstalled in less than 1 minute!!!!!!!

Also all esps were FE Flagged but extension esp (not esl) , not that it matters.

So the probem is in the dependency checks / moving esp in load order in NMM, and I just proved it 100% sure.

I don't even know why the option to disable autosort was taken out in first place, but hey, I'm just an user (advanced one apparently).

More info. Even if the mod has no dependencies but it's high up in the load order the bug happens.

Only when the mod is low in load order the uninstall is moderately fast.

Thank you for filing a issue. Yes, it seems to be quite inactive, I'm currently considering to help with this project. I'll first familiarize myself with the repository, and get back to you.

It is not a bug; it is due to plugin/load order sorting, especially if you have a massive load order. Looking at your comment, you do have a massive load order. I think it would be better classified as fixing/optimizing load order sorting.

If its not a bug, its a massive letdown , anyway I've moved to mo2 anyway, still I think you should correct /optimize the load order sortimng. I even give you a advice, let people disable sorting on nmm, old versions had that feature.
