set custom bitrate for mp3 conversion

I want to encode the audio to mp3 with a custom constant bitrate of 320k. Therefore I created a converter argument with value of "-b:a 320k". Then I chose it on the DL job but it still encodes with a dynamic bitrate. Can someone help me?

How you did you configure the Post Processor argument? What options did you choose?

For the download I chose FileType MP3 (Audio) and I used and chose my custom added argument in the advance tab:

Post Processor: ExtractAudio
Executable: FFmpeg
Args: -b:a 320k

In the log I got that it was used in command line of audio extraction: ffmpeg.exe" -y -loglevel repeat+info -i "file:C:\Users\test\Downloads\Love_ [BP5RP30prL4].m4a" -vn -acodec libmp3lame -q:a 0.0 -movflags +faststart -b:a 320k "file:C:\Users\test\Downloads\Love.mp3"

I guess the problem is that beside my custom parameter for encooding with a constant bitrate the parameter for VBR "-q:a 0.0" is also part of the command line.

You would have to modify your post processing argument to support this. We don't control the parameters passed to ffmpeg, yt-dlp does
