What's the roadmap for this project? #1

Hi,
This thing looks great! I'm a bit concerned about its future, though. Is it just a proof of concept, or are there plans to make it a complete firmware replacement, or more or less complete basis for it? Are there plans to support other Nixplay digital frame models?
I have somewhat aged Nixplay Iris W08E that I'd love to jailbreak, but even though I have embedded systems background, I'm quite a linux/nixos noob and very little experience in writing stuff for "big" pi-esque SoCs.
How can other folks help? Have you considered setting up bounties or other paid incentives for project development?
