incompatibility between symbol resolution in vscode and hardhat compile

Each time I start to write js hardhat task or deploy script, I'd like add const { network, getNamedAccounts, deployments } = require("hardhat") to facilitate symbol resolution in vscode. However it will make compiling failed with error:

Error HH9: Error while loading Hardhat's configuration.

You probably tried to import the "hardhat" module from your config or a file imported from it.
This is not possible, as Hardhat can't be initialized while its config is being defined.

But if I remove those, I can't jump to symbols' definitions related to network.xxx or deployments.xx. How would I resolve this ?

Hey @baiwfg2 is this in Hardhat 2 or Hardhat 3.

Hardhat 3 is ESM first, can you try importing rather than requiring (e.g. import {network, getNamedAccounts, deployments} from "hardhat"?
