Area, heat and water budgets in NorESM3dev

Dear all, Regarding our discussion yesterday about budgets, I just want to inform you all that in the log folder (in the output), you will find diag logs which include the budgets for each component (what is sent and what is recieved). In the diag logs, you will find heat, water and area budgets for every month. You can easily change the frequency of the output if that is needed. Here is an example from the log, from the most recent run

The following nuopc.runconfig variables control the output of the budgets:

     budget_ann = 1
     budget_daily = 0
     budget_inst = 0
     budget_ltann = 1
     budget_ltend = 0
     budget_month = 1
     budget_table_version = v2
     do_budgets = .true.

Note that multiple time periods can appear in the budget log file (this is controlled by setting the value to 1). The above settings will produce monthly, annual and end or run budgets.
Newer versions of ESCOMP/CMEPS have introduced new terms in the heat budget table:

    hsnow

    hrofl

So it might be useful to update our CMEPS version to the latest version in ESCOMP. However, most of the new terms relate to the enthalpy from rain, snow, evap and cond that are send to the ocn (hrain, hsnow, hevap, hcond) - which is not currently relevant to BLOM. The new enthalpy changes that are being looked at for NorESM will require creating a new version of this table that isolates the terms being sent from CAM and then sent to the OCN.
