Testing a span of tuning parameters, how to describe in simulation issues

When experimenting with a tuning parameter it is often useful to do an ensemble with a parameter range to look at the response. Even for coupled simulations and/or without PPE guidance a number of 5 year long simulations will often give useful information. If each of the 5 year long simulation is defined as an issue I think the issue list will be cluttered. Possible suggestion: Create 1 issue that defines the test describing the span of parameter value tested, potentially including a longer test using the presumed best value found during the test phase.
