DropDown and List View

I have a dropdown and it sits on a cell on a list.
When I use the dropdown example, it seems to fail when sitting on the list item.
How it fails? it just doesn't allow me to select an option.
Is there a work around for this? Thanks!
I have tried selecting the dropdown when it is apart of the root canvas.
