Wopuld the defalt slicing on sprites be something you guys could easily tap into? or would you have to create your own?

I was just checking out the free trial version to see if it is possible to convert my current ui to Nova.
9 slicing seems to be a key missing feature.

v1.0.9 has just been published with new ImageScaleModes: Sliced and Tiled (which behave the same as Unity's Image Types of the same name)!

I'm testing with the free NovaUI version downloaded last week, and Slicing does NOT seem to be working -- it produces, for me, the same result as "Manual" mode, and shows a "!" warning that I must change my Texture2D into a Sprite for Sliced mode. BUT, that is what I have already done -- twice. But NovaUI seems to still consider it a Texture2D.

I am using Unity 2022.2.8f1, which has been out of beta for over a month now.

Here are screenshots to show this issue:

NOTE: Below, I tried for "Mesh Type" BOTH "Tight" and "Full Rect" setting -- both fail the same.

Maybe this is a bug that only occurs in 2022? If so, it's out of beta now, so probably needs to be fixed.

We can't move forward without 9-slice method working. This feature is essential.

ALSO - will the CENTER piece be tiled? (IMO, is should have 3 options - Stretch, Tiled or Manual, OR not -- and then the 4 side slices should obey your Center setting -- so if Tiled, the sides tile in the Y-direction, and Top/bottom tile in the X-direction, to match the center piece pattern. This allows the center piece to have a pattern, and not force it to be "non-patterned/blank".

The warning indicator and message is saying you need to set the Image Type to Sprite:

It's referring to a setting on the UIBlock2D, not the sprite/texture asset. Hope that helps!

Yep, that's it.... I was just coming back here to tell you that I figured this out myself from your SciFi controls in the Playground Sample. But as seems to be the trend, you beat me to this punch.

It is working for me now, and you are still batting 1000. :)
