Drag & Drop Support?

First of all let me say how great Nova is. Really love it. However, as a newbie programmer, it causes trouble when out-of-the-box solutions for drag & drop don't work (I've tried several, and they don't work, probably because they normally rely on a Canvas). Is there demo code for a drag & drop using Nova somewhere? Or is there a function I'm missing? Sorry, if this is a stupid question.
