Free trial InternalScript error

Hello!

Using the free trial on Unity 2022.2.0b.2700, i get
Assets\Nova\Scripts\Internal\InternalScript_314.cs(10,29): error CS0117: 'QualitySettings' does not contain a definition for 'globalTextureMipmapLimit'

opening that file indeed shows not having a globalTextureMipmapLimit 👀

Hi, would you mind clarifying which version of Unity you are using? We recently made a change related to that API as it was renamed from masterTextureLimit to globalTextureMipmapLimit in 2022.2, however we just tested with the latest version (2022.2.0b12) and aren't seeing any issues.

I actually UPGRADED to 0b12, and now it works! thanks! :D

However, every handling that i do with Nova UI results in a bunch of errors

Scaling stuff, editing stuff etc etc

EDIT: This only happens when a gameobject (empty or not) has a Sort Group and Screen Space component attached to it.

It works, but it poops out alot of errors (errors only come back as soon as you select that component in the hierarchy again)

Same with creating a UIBlock

It also does NOT apply the UIBlock component to it, but when you try to add it manually, it says it already exists eheh

Happy to hear moving to the new Unity version resolved your original issue! Sorry to hear you're hitting more issues, do they continue to appear after restarting Unity?

Based on the variety of errors, it seems like the project has gotten into a bad state. If restarting the editor doesn't fix it, maybe clearing your Library and/or deleting the existing objects which are causing these errors to be thrown would do the trick.

I deleted all my csproj, so it regenerates etc removed it and reinstalled but the UIBlock and Screen Space component still dont work / they generate ALOT of errors when you select them in the hierarchy

ouch :( really want to use the databinding visuals for steam friendslist hehe

If you don't mind, could you try deleting your Library folder (it is in the root of the Unity project, next to the Assets folder) like so:

• Close the Unity project
• Delete the Library folder
• Open the project

Hopefully this will get you back into a working state. I just tested importing the trial into 2022.2.0b12 and I didn't hit any issues, so I don't think the errors you are seeing are caused by this version of the editor per se, but rather may have been caused by a combination of the b.2700 version or something becoming corrupted when you upgraded the project to b.12.
