Would it be possible to add a json output? Basically similar to the diag/compact form but without things like tags that throw off json parsing?

Hmmm. I wonder whether that would be better served by serde-transcode (assuming you're taking in CBOR documents rather than diagnostic format)? In fact, this is one of the example usecases it has 😀
