StatusBadDataTypeIDUnknown (0x80110000) - Read Custom Extension Object

Hello,
I am trying to read custom extension object but read status not ok for this node. Do we need to registers a new extension object type
or have mechanism to register all custom extension object at a time of connection establishment to server ?

Error-
The extension object cannot be (de)serialized because the data type id is not recognized. StatusBadDataTypeIDUnknown (0x80110000)

Hi @May1592 , did you read the complex type system before the read?
This statuscode is not produced in this codebase, so are you maybe using a different server or client?

@mregen - yes, we are using GO OPCUA library. I am wondering if we have mechanism for opcua client to identify all data types including custom structure from server and register these custom structure types before read ?

Hi @May1592, a client library should have a way to read and learn the custom types on a server. Otherwise the unknown types are treated as ExtensionObject. This is not the support forum for the GO library, so maybe there is the right place to ask.
