Hi, @04shubham7 I’d like to take up this issue. I plan to integrate a payment gateway API (Razorpay or Stripe) to handle transactions securely and update order status in real-time.

Proposed Approach:

API Integration: Connect Razorpay/Stripe to the backend for creating payment orders.

Payment Flow: Simulate the payment process in a sandbox/test environment to ensure proper handling.

Webhook Handling: Set up webhooks to listen for payment success, failure, or cancellation events.

Order Status Update: Update the corresponding order status in the database based on payment outcomes.

Security: Ensure sensitive payment details are never exposed and follow best practices for secure transactions.

This approach will enable reliable and secure transaction handling in the system.

I would like to integrate Razorpay (or Stripe) into the backend to handle secure payment processing and simulate the complete payment flow.
This will allow users to make test payments, and the system will automatically update the order status after successful transactions.

🔧 Implementation Plan

-> Set up Razorpay/Stripe credentials via environment variables (.env file).

Create API endpoints to:

-> Initialize a payment order (/api/payment/order for Razorpay or /api/payment/create-checkout-session for Stripe).

-> Verify the payment after completion and update the corresponding order status in the database.

-> Use Razorpay’s test keys (or Stripe test mode) to simulate real payment flow without actual money transfer.

-> Ensure proper error handling, validation, and secure secret key usage.

🎯 Expected Outcome

-> A fully functional test payment flow.

-> Automatic order status update after verification.

-> Ready for production integration with live keys once tested.
