Windows 11 not fully updating

Hello, I have setup OSDCloud based on your instructions for a fairly basic setup that installs Win 11 and should be trying to install all Windows updates and dell updates. Here is my configuration:

Install-Module OSD -Force
 
Import-Module OSD -Force
 
New-OSDCloudTemplate
 
New-OSDCloudWorkspace -WorkspacePath C:\OSDCloud
 
New-OSDCloudUSB

Edit-OSDCloudWinPE -WorkspacePath C:\OSDCloud -CloudDriver * -StartOSDCloud "-OSVersion 'Windows 11' -OSBuild 23H2 -OSEdition Pro -OSLanguage en-us -ZTI -Restart"
New-OSDCloudISO
 
Update-OSDCloudUSB

I'm expecting the updates and drivers to install but when Windows starts up there are many pending updates.

Regarding updates, you should take care about it in the post OS installation phase. OSDCloud doesn't handle it out-of-the-box.

Hi, do you know why the drivers wouldn't get installed before first boot up?

Unless you use the latest Driver Pack, and unless the Driver Pack is updated daily, there will always be updates released after the Driver Pack is released. Since the dawn of OSD, this has ALWAYS been a thing.

Hi, Is there a way to download and install the latest driver pack? The problem is that this adds something like an hour to our provisioning process that I'm looking to eliminate when we image a device. Thanks

Great, so according to Dell they last updated the Driver Pack for the Dell 5540 on May 28, so about a month and a half.

So to answer your question, "Is there a way to download and install the latest driver pack?" ... my point is this. You're probably already downloading the latest using OSDCloud. The problem is that Dell hasn't updated this Driver Packs in over a month, so you WILL have updates. So unless you talk to Dell and have them release Daily, or Hourly updates to Driver Packs, you will ALWAYS need to update Drivers.

You need to make a call. Do you want to do it the right way? Then let WU do its job and stop staring at the screen. If you really want to eliminate the hour, turn off WU.

It's like you're driving a car that's on empty, but you don't want to stop for gas.

So for clarification, are you imaging this device online or offline? If Offline, you need the DriverPack on the USB for it to be installed during OSDCloud. If Online, it should be downloaded.
