The application should be to able to alert the user whenever they are near their destination.
Inspiration
In my two-hour commute from university back to my house, I often sleep. However, I always get waken up by the fear of skipping my stop.
I have dreamed of an app that can notify me whenever im 1km, 500m, or 300m near my destination. So that I can have that peace of mind that I will wake up and be able to go off at my stop
Suggestion for Implementation
With the user's consent, we can track their location relative to their route. Then, the user may set a value as to how close they need to be relative to their route before they are notified. This needs to be relative to the route, instead of absolute distance to their destination.
We can also have an option to alert the user whenever they pass a specific place in their route. This is useful, as when I'm near my destination, but the traffic is at a deadstop that it would not make sense to wake me up when I will still be stuck in this damn traffic for 20 more minutes.
