Description
When you have a task pane open in Excel or Word (possibly more as well) and then drag it out of the sidebar as a seperate dialog a white screen is opened instead of the normal add in.
Your Environment
- Platform: PC
- Host: Excel and Word confirmed, possibly more.
- Office version number: 2601
- Operating System: Windows 11
Expected behavior
Dragging a task pane out of the sidebar should stay on the same page. This is how it worked previously.
Current behavior
Dragging a task pane out of the sidebar opens a blank screen that requires a reopen of the task pane to fix
Steps to reproduce
For example with the Excel Labs addin:
- Open the Excel Labs addin
2. Drag the sidepane out by dragging the top of the task pane
3. Observe that the task pane content is now a white screen and is unresponsive.
These steps work for for any JS addin and for all the other colleagues I have asked about the problem so far.
Context
We tell our customers about this feature as a way to give them more control of the location of their addin. If this feature is broken our customers won't be able to use it.
