File Save As e.t.c. come up blank then the app freezes, or occasionally show files but will also freeze

Problem description

Using the latest (and past releases), I have had the issue that the file save as and other file dialogs come up blank.
The application then freezes
This is being run via the AppImage on Ubuntu 22.04

Eg

This computer is running a Radeon 6700XT, 64gb ram, 16 core amd cpu. I am currently using the AMD official gpu drivers instead of the mesa drivers.
