Downloading expansion list when network down causes crash without explaination.

Testing other things, I span up laptop from boot stick without bothering to configure WiFi.

This crash happened while attempting to download/update expansion list (with latest mcarans test version, and also current 1.93):

./Oo-test.appimge failed to start
Exit code: 139

In the terminal:
/tmp/.mount_OolitedNDKDM/AppRun: line 35: 3120 Segmentation fault (core dumped) "$@"

Nothing relevant in Latest.log.

Plugging in a network cable or setting up WiFi, all is well of course.

Can this be handled without crashing? Maybe a message in the Expansion Manager like: "Network unreachable", or better yet, "$URL-OF-REPO unreachable".

Tried to reproduce with latest 1.93 from the github installers. For me there was no crash and I had this in the log:

This was with the appimage for both examples on both distros. The 1.93 I'm on is latest (Oolite_test_1.93.0.7779-260228-d4a7a70-x86_64.AppImage)

I would suggest that "Downloading (null): Unknown of Unknown", whilst delightfully dramatic, is still not a meaningful response which might inform the user of an error, or it's nature.

Otherwise, multiple wins. Doesn't trap the mouse (except while full-screen, regardless whether the mouse is enabled for control, which is only really apparent on a multi screen setup), has a proper, centred, borderless splash and centred main window, and doesn't crash on downloading expansion list without network.

Edit: Just noticed, also remembers window size!

That's good news! I have raised an issue in the GNUstep base repo so that the workaround hopefully won't be needed in future: gnustep/libs-base#586
