Terminology cleanup around core/cache/exported object etc

New users are often confused about basic concepts like cache, core etc. Historically we have used different terminology and artifacts of this seem to be adding up to overall confusion. We would like to go through all repositories (code, tests, documentation, adapters) and make sure the terminology is consistent and easily understandable.
