What is the correct StockParent for a direct StockIssuance?

Currently, StockIssuance requires the field issued_from_parent_object, which is a StockParent.

The description of the field says:

Did this stock come from a Plan, a StockClass, another Stock issuance, a Convertible or a Warrant, and, if so, which one?

Based on this, I would expect stock that was directly issued to a stakeholder to reference the stock class as the "parent" object.

However:

1. the parent_object_type field of StockParent does not include an option for STOCK_CLASS.
2. this would be redundant with the stock_class_id field.

Under the current schema, what is the correct thing to put in this field for this case? Or does the schema need to change?

If the schema needs to change, I see two obvious paths forward. One would be to make the issued_from_parent_object field optional; the other would be to add STOCK_CLASS to the parent_object_type enum. I would lean towards the former since the information is redundant.

A less obvious path would be to remove the issued_from_parent_object field entirely. Any other transaction in the system that results in a new StockIssuance will reference it in its resulting_security_ids or balance_security_id fields, so the linkage is already there in the other direction. If we don't need the bi-directional linkage, we can remove it and reduce complexity.
