Description
Proposed Process ID: slope
Context
Allows users to compute the slope of elevation maps
Description
Slope is the magnitude portion of the gradient vector. It is the maximum change of elevation from a raster cell to any immediate neighbor. Horn's method is used to compute the slope based on estimates of the partial derivatives dz/dx and dz/dy.
The slope values are expressed in degrees from the horizontal plane.
The slope process computes a new cube with computed slopes for each band of the original cube.
Return Value
A cube with calculated slopes for each band, the band names are the original band names with a '_slope' suffix.
Description
The slope values are expressed in degrees from the horizontal plane.
Data Type
Float64
m-mohr
