The option name difference mainly comes from version changes in the HuggingFace transformers + trl training pipeline.

• Older versions use: --evaluation_strategy
• Newer versions (after the refactor) use: --eval_strategy

Both options refer to the same underlying behavior, but the accepted argument name depends on the specific library version the script is targeting at that time.

The current MiniCPM-V finetune script was written based on the older version, so --evaluation_strategy is correct for that version. If you're using a newer transformers/trl version, --eval_strategy will also work.
