Unable to add bangla layout on latest Pop OS cosmic DE

I've tried installing the OpenBangla keyboard on my Pop! OS system using different .deb files, but it's not showing up as an input option. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I haven't tried PopOS Cosmic yet, have you setup ibus properly and made sure ibus deamon is running?

It looks like PopOS Cosmic DE doesn't use IBus or Fcitx. It seems to only work with the regular XKB keyboard layouts. The OpenBangla language shows up fine in the IBus menu, but XKB doesn't recognize it. I'm letting the COSMIC folks know about this.
