Dependency Hell Must Refactor code to work with newer Libraries? #1909

Brief Description:
OpenBazaar is currently using many outdated dependency libraries. I think this may be an underlining issue with the WebSocket errors and perhaps other issues. How would I go about finding out which lines of code need refactoring due to code changes in a related library?
I use Windows 10 and I have access to an El Captain Mac Computer if I need to test code on a different arc.
