Tullom's debugging error is: Investigate why probe-rs cannot reset MIMXRT685 and inconsistent behavior coming out of reset.

My experience with probe-rs + Visual Code debug operations:

• Difficult to set a break point at certain lines of code. Often, after setting a breakpoint in the VC ui, the break point will grey out/disable. Have to try setting a bp on multiple preceding code lines to find a spot where the bp will stick.
• After download and run, the debugger does not always stop at the bp.
• After hitting a bp, or manually stopping execution, cannot inspect mcu registers or other memory variables -> The debugger crashes with "debugger has exited unexpectedly".
• After hitting a bp, or manually stopping execution, cannot step through code -> The debugger crashes with "debugger has exited unexpectedly".

Will need to test on the RT685 EVK. The problem that sparked this issue was the inability to consistently run embedded-test on the EVK. Work has been done on probe-rs since then so its worth it to give it another shot.
