OpenGov Africa Hacktoberfest 2025 – Blog, Video & Event Tasks Rules:

Please ensure you check the updates to our updated Hacktoberfest readme.md and confirm all rules.

1. Your Pull Requests (PRs) or Merge Requests (MRs) must be in a repository tagged with the hacktoberfest topic, or have the hacktoberfest-accepted label.
2. Repositories created solely for Hacktoberfest that do not benefit the wider open-source community. Ie. a design task should be done in the design repository, blog tasks in marketing repo not here.
- Ask to be assigned to a particular task you want to work on, then create an issue referencing this original issue in the specific team repo.
- Issues must use all our hacktoberfest labels
- You can pick just one task eg. “Write Blog Post: “How OpenGov Africa Makes Open Source Inclusive”
