Unable to perform an index rebuild

Hello,

I'm running:

`Version: OpenDJ Server 4.10.0

Java Version: 1.8.0_462`

I'm attempting to do an index rebuild. I've tried to rebuild all and single indexes. I am getting the following error:

I have tried to enable debug logs, but not seeing much there either. Any guidance would be appreaciated.

try rebuild online/offline https://github.com/OpenIdentityPlatform/OpenDJ/blob/af8a89baf8976c199a04fc70464e3ce66c5dd8ca/.github/workflows/build.yml#L67C1-L70C6 or attach zip with /opt/opendj folder

I tried that and it seemed to make some progress, but I got the same error at the end:

• Debug instance
• or attach /opt/opendj folder for reproduce

Hello @vharseko,

I was able to resolve the issue. There was an attribute in a handful of accounts that caused the index rebuild process to fail. The attribute was "ref: User". Once I removed it and reimported the LDIF file re-indexing was successful.

Any chance the error message could be made more descriptive?

There are my steps:

1. Stop OpenDJ
2. Import LDIF with the --clearBackend option
3. Start OpenDJ
4. Rebuild Index ( Any single or Rebuild All should show the error )
