issues with gnupg

Hi, there seems to be a problem with gnupg where the process hangs in the middle of certain tasks like creating a gpg key (RSA and RSA, 4096 bits):

or when you try to import a gpg key (private) created elsewhere

So, actually, I came a cross this post; I tried applying and it appears as if it solved the issues I had:
until I retried creating a key
