Notes from IRC:

  • make sure to implement the device according to the MSFT spec they call "WinUSB Device"
  • it requires one string descriptor with a binary structure MSFT calls "Microsoft OS Descriptor" or MOD, along with one control request to pass back another data structure described by them
  • Is this similar to what FadeCandy has? yes, but don't spread the WCID disease . That's a made-up term for the MSFT concept used with WinUSB Device
