Pasted Clips Should Remain Selected

Selecting a single or multiple clips on the time line and the selecting copy (or ctrl+c) followed by paste (ctrl+v) to paste the selection at a different position on the time line results in pasted clip(s) being pasted however NOT being selected. The pasted clip(s) should remain selected because they can be readily positioned rather than having to be re-selected and then positioned. It is common work flow for pasted objects to remain selected after pasting.
