Running ovpncli with mingw build fails

When having compiled the ovpncli with mingw following the guidelines (https://github.com/OpenVPN/openvpn3?tab=readme-ov-file#building-with-mingw), I get the following issue when trying to run it on Windows as admin:

Changing the build target to ovpncliagent and running it as admin results in the same issue.

Can anybody please provide me with some guideline how to fix this?

That issue really doesn't have much to go about since you didn't say how you build the app i nthe first place.

Looks you have some linking issues with your c++ library:
https://en.cppreference.com/w/cpp/io/ios_base/Init is the demangled version of the function that cannot be found.

As stated before I built it according to the guidelines: https://github.com/OpenVPN/openvpn3?tab=readme-ov-file#building-with-mingw
So:

$ git clone https://github.com/OpenVPN/openvpn3.git && cd openvpn3
$ export VCPKG_ROOT=<path to vcpkg checkout>
$ cmake --preset mingw-x64-release
$ cmake --build --preset mingw-x64-release --target ovpncli

i too got the same problem after i executed the build which i cross-compiled on linux
